Friday was a lovely day around the house. Max is getting to such a great imaginative age, he plays so well and comes up with such fun little games. Lately his games have been about putting Wolfie to bed and taking care of “my baby Wolfie”, including reading him stories.4 year olds dressing themselves is fun… and super cute.Max loves playing on his bunkbeds. This is another reason I love this project! Last year, Max was still in his crib.We had a Dr.s appointment for Max, he loves going to the office. Another funny thing about Week in the Life is that we’ve had an appointment at the pediatrician each time I’ve done WITL, we don’t go as often now as we used to, but it is fitting that it continues to be included.Back on the curve! As the mom of a mirco-preemie who barely eats (he still drinks Pediasure for 95% of his nutritional needs) this is ALWAYS on my mind. Has he grown, is it enough, will he need a G-tube. He has always been on the edge of requiring one, but our pediatrician would like to avoid it if possible.Even our laundry is cheering for the Oilers. In documenting my *horrible* orange shag carpet I’m hoping it will be different by next WITL….. Max’s bookshelf has changed as he gets older. Now along side the books there are a few toys. He got the Grossery Gang (boy equivalent to Shopkins I’m told) at his birthday and has barely let them out of his sight.I had the opportunity to go out and work in my garden on Friday and it was delightful!! I managed to plant corn, onions, peas and carrots, while planning where my tomatoes will go as well. These two played so well outside. I’m looking forward to an easier year of yard work this year. Last year they both needed constant attention and it was difficult to get anything done. I was able to work for a good amount of time and they had a lot of fun playing with last years toys (and re-discovering them!).
After all that gardening I suffered a massive allergic reaction. Possibly to a bug bite or to something I touched in the soil, but I was covered in hives from head to toe. As a result, I managed to work on Saturday, take a Benadryl and fall into bed. I took no photos and only barely managed to get my kid to bed. I did take a quick photo of our supper, as Max’s favourite food is currently spaghetti and meatballs, so I wanted to make sure I documented that.
