I love the look of transparent page dividers in my mini albums. A few years ago there were lovely dividers in Ali Edward’s Week in the Life kit and I adored them. There were some fantastic transparent dividers in the past few year’s December Daily kits too, and I have a few of them saved up for this year.
That said, I always love the look, so I went to my stash and my silhouette this year to make a few more dividers (and I missed this year’s December Daily dividers that came with the main kit, I didn’t order my main kit the first day). I often get asked where I buy my transparencies, and to be honest, I have an awesome local scrapbooking store. Almost every new line that comes out has a specialty paper, either vellum or transparency, and I jump on those when I can find them. There is also a good selection of basics (stripes, dots, scripty words) available at Michael’s in white and gold.
If you have a Silhouette, you can download a free cut file for this divider here or on my Free Download page (These cut without holes so you can put them in any album). Someone on my Instagram asked for a printable version as well so that you can either trace them onto patterned paper or print them out on card stock and cut them out for those without a Silhouette, so you will find that file here as well.
Here are the three that I added to my December Album this year. (Dots, Michael’s – Scripty Words, Michael’s – Stars, Studio Calico)
To add even more fun, I used my silkscreens to add some sentiments to my dividers. I tried this same technique last year with limited success. The paint color that I used was too light and would have needed multiple coats, a luxury you don’t have with a silkscreen.
This year I decided to use a brighter color (Well Red from Studio Calico) and it worked FANTASTICALLY. Sorry, did I shout that? It was amazing. I didn’t even open this package of silkscreens from Jasmine Jones last year, and they are SO perfect.
I might be a little excited about this.
