I love subscribing to a monthly kit. I have really enjoyed the monthly inspiration that comes with a bunch of brand new supplies. Ali Edwards’ Story Kits are a bit of a spin on that idea, kits designed to help you tell specific stories. The Me kit was the perfect kit for me (haha. I know. I read that out loud, go laugh at someone else please). The colors and the pieces were so perfect for me, and sometimes ideas just come so easily.
This one was partially inspired by a past kit as well, in the classroom for the “Click” kit Ali shared a layout of selfies and I loved it, but wasn’t in the habit of taking a lot of photos at the time. Now, it was an easy task to go back through my Camera Roll and find a bunch of photos that I love. Some of them were never even included in projects I was doing at the time, it was great to find some gems like that.
Because I bought the Story Kit and the Stamp this month, I received the digital kit as well, so this layout worked out to be really easy. I printed my photos at 2×3 and then printed the tops of the little cards without the words on them. I went through my considerable stash of stamps to find some sentiments to stamp on the tabs, and added a few chipboard pieces (a few from the Believe kit and a few stars from an old SC kit).
I tried to alternate the tabs on top of my photos and on the bottom, and then used the cards to write a few small lines about each photo. Some of them really brought back excellent memories as I was building the page.
