I have been asked over and over this year if I would be doing December Daily process videos, and the answer has always been maybe. It can be tricky to get good light here in the winter, but today I had the weekend to catch up on and I thought it might be fun to video the process. Be prepared for a few real moments (like when I run out of staples and am super indecisive about adding some embellishments) but to be honest, that’s kind of what I love about making process videos.
If you aren’t up for watching the whole thing, you can check out the photos below the video as well!
I totally forgot to photograph the Santa letter before we mailed it this year, so instead I had Max fill out this awesome journaling card from the Paislee Press kit. He has been working on writing his letters at preschool and I thought it would be a great way to include his voice in the project as well. You can see I swapped out the white plastic 2 with a black fabric one that I cut on my Silhouette and then stitched on. (font is Ultra).
For Day 3 I really fell in love with the way that 3 sat on it’s side in the page protector so I decided to leave it as is and document the 3 things we did yesterday, 1 – Pottery class (making Christmas gifts), 2 – Flea Market Christmas Record search! and 3 – Decorating the tree.
On the back of Day 3 I included a photograph of our living room right now. This summer I painted the far wall a pale blue and I love it!! (Does anyone else decorate based on how their house will look in the album….. maybe I have a problem)
Finally, a really simple look at day 4. the blue of the stars and the number 4 worked together really well, and I love the black and white look. The still//snow card is available in my Cozy Christmas cards (you can find them in my etsy shop) and the rest is from the Paislee Press kit (actually, both this year’s and last year’s!)
