I was really on the fence about participating in the most recent Day in the Life date. It was a Thursday, my busiest work day and I spend the day with kids that aren’t my own and have no reason to appear on my Instagram or blog. I do, however, babysit my niece and nephew in the mornings before I head out to work, so there were some things there worth capturing. In the end, this kind of turned out to be 36 hours in the life as I ended up using some photos from both Thursday and Friday, and you know what?!? That’s okay.
I tried to keep it simple and used the same square pages I used for the last DITL, I just cut them down differently, into the square rather than two rows. I like the look, but it’s not that different from my normal 9×12 9 pocket pages, so I’m not sure I would do this arrangement again next time, I liked the 4×2 stack a little better than this 3×3 grid.
Most of the cards were from the Young at Heart SC kit (was that August?!? I cannot remember) and the extras are just pieces from my stash. I still have a very healthy number of those rubber days of the week from the Arendal kit and will probably cry when it comes time to open the last package.
The washi along the edge is from A Beautiful Mess and served a few purposes, I wanted to set this apart from my weekly spread and I also wanted to move the holes so this doesn’t sit right at the top of the binder. Now I can just repunch it where I want it to fall and it won’t look weird.
